ItIt has been learnt that an officer has got a service on the basis of a fake caste certificate in the Department of Customs & Central Excise. The “Right Thinking Association has sought the copy of caste certificate for verification by the Tahsildar who is the competent Authority. After confirmation, the matter will be sent to SC/ST Commission and DG Vigilance for taking action. The Association will not allow any deviation from the policy on the basis of which reservation has been given in the Constitution of India. Only the genuine candidates are entitled for this facility and action is warranted against others who are getting the benefit by fraudulent means. The RTI Application is
