Revenue from Restaurant & Bar of Chhattisgarh

State Excise Department issues bar licenses to run a Bar. So far our knowledge goes, Rs 1.50 lakhs is the State Govt fees for running this business in nearby a swimming pool i.e if liquor is served nearby a swimming pool, then the person/origination who wants to run this category of bar has to deposit Rs 1.5 lakhs. In other cases, i.e in Restaurants, the fees is Rs 18.5 lakhs. We are confirming this figures of Govt fees from public information officer of State Excise Department of Chhattisgarh. The Draft RTI Application is uploaded for public viewing. After receipt of information under the RTI Act, the loss of Revenue caused by issue of wrong liquor permit will be uploaded in the site "rtia.in", the official site of "Right Thinking Indians Association" Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Another RTI application is also being sent to CPIO of the Central Excise Raipur Commissionerate to know the name of Air conditioned Bars who had obtained Service Tax Registration in this category of and the Revenue collected from Service Tax Assesses from Air conditioned Bars of the State of Chhattisgarh w.e.f dtd 1.5.2011

The 1st general meeting of the Right Thinking Indians Association, Raipur was conducted on 24th March in Vrindavan Hall, Civil Lines, Raipur, (C.G). The social Activist, Shri Goutam Bandopadhyay was the chief Guest cum Chief Speaker. The program was quite successful and the persons attended felt encouraged to fight for justice and rights. More RTI Applications will be filed to bring Accountability of the Govt officers, bring transparency in Govt Departments and to contain corruption in public offices. 

First Appeal against OPSC

We have filed a 1st Appeal against the wrong decision of CPIO, OPSC, Cuttack. Odisha. The CPIO has rejected RTI Application on the ground that RTI Application has not been written in the prescribed format. I have gone through the entire provision of the RTI Act, 2005 and do not find any such provision. The second point advanced the CPIO is that identity proof has not been given by the RTI Applicant. There is no such provision in the said Act to give identity. When an Applicant is giving his name & address which is within the territory of India, it is simply foolishness to ask such frivolous question. The tragedy is that such person has worked hard and lucky enough to hold key posts in administering the country. And we, the poor citizen of India has to apply & apply and it seems there is no end to it. So, something is to be done-------
